Hanover Hockey Association has a long history with Girls Hockey and Hanover, NH is the hometown of the very first publicly funded Varsity Girls Ice Hockey High School Team in the United States back in 1991.
HHA has a strong history with dedicated girls teams going back 25 years and has maintained a steady upward growth in programming and numbers every year since. Part of this is due to the fact the Program continues to base player development on a sound practice-to-game ratio, with the travel teams typically having two practices and one skill session from early-October through mid-December and two team practices/week afterwards (14's may have three practices when possible). Further, these practices are thoughtfully designed by skilled, experienced and dedicated volunteer coaches who work together to create a challenging and completive atmosphere in practice balancing work, skill development and fun.
However, the foundation of the Program is based around the TEAM, and providing every player with a great experience built on the strength of the Team, building strong relationships, working together, facing challenges together as a single group, and having fun. This is a core pillar of the Program and is led by coaches who are experienced, skilled, committed, hard working and dedicated to the team.
