Over the March 4-6 weekend Hanover served as host for the NH Girls State Tournament.  Campion Rink proved to be a very comfortable for the Wild as all three teams took home State Championship Banners.
On Sunday the 10's battled Concord and took the second game in the Best of Three by a tight 3-1 score.  They were followed by the 14's who were pitted against Seacoast in the Championship Game and fought a tough opponent in a game that had Hanover hanging on to a 3-1 lead late, that with and empty-netter and another turned into a 6-1 final.  The 12's saved the best for last in their Championship versus Concord.  The Capitals were playing for a lot more than just the title and   it was scoreless until the Wild finally scored the winner with two minutes to play for the only goal of the game and the third Wild Championship of the day.

GIRLS COMMITTEE and TEAMS (subcommittees)-- Members Needed:
We are looking for 1-2 people to join the 2015-2016 Girls Program Committee and a couple more folks for each of the Teams.  A Committee member will lead each Team.
This is REALLY important and we want to represent all ages and interests as much as possible.
Following are the TEAMS you can join, each with a different focus.  If you want to serve on more than one team, that is great.

  1. PR and RECRUITMENT TEAM: Includes Public Relations/Outreach and the Free Intro Clinic weekend (REALLY important)
  2. STATE TOURNAMENT TEAM: We are bidding to host the “Super Site for all the Girls State Tourneys
  3. HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT TEAM: Developing off-ice programs for players over the year and working with players and coaches to develop an even stronger on-ice program for the players and teams
  4. LONG RANGE PLANNING TEAM: Create Program Goals, Identify areas of strength to build on, Weaknesses to address/improve/fix/change, Overall program and Team design for the next five and ten years tough the entire program from age 4 to 19

Girls Committee and the Teams will meet again in every 4-6 weeks or as needed and are always open to the public.
If you have interest in the Committee and/or a Team, please contact Dan French as soon as you can.

ALSO, if you know a past or future parent or anyone else in town who is a good hockey guy/gal, please pass this along or forward their name to Dan French.  We want to try and include everyone.
